We understand and appreciate that taking the first step, and making a call for an initial consultation, can be a difficult task for some families.
At FOS ABA Centre, we want every parent and child to feel at ease when they walk through our doors. Once you have made your appointment, one of our dedicated team will call you to talk it through and book a session with our professional.
The initial consultation helps us decide the best course of action for your child. Our clinician may meet with your child and family together or separately, whichever feels most comfortable.
What to expect
How your consultation works

We call you
After you book, a member of our team calls to answer any questions and agree a time.

We meet
The consultation usually takes about an hour. Please allow a little longer when planning your visit, as some appointments run over.

We ask and observe
We ask about development and milestones, school progress, general health and relevant family history, and we observe your child at play.

We recommend
We suggest the next phase, usually a comprehensive assessment to understand your child's functional skills and anything behind the reason for referral.

- How your child plays, communicates and gets along with others
- Progress at nursery or school
- General health, sleep and eating
- Any medication your child takes
- Feelings and behaviour that concern you
